19 of Daniil Medvedev's twenty-one titles have been achieved on hard courts
A resurgent Medvedev secured his first title for over two years with victory over opponent Moutet in the competition title decider.
The athlete, a ex- world number one, has endured a challenging season, managing just a single victory at the major tournaments and undergoing a setback at the US Open.
Medvedev's unpredictability on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his serve in especial - led to him falling of the top ten and eventually separating with long-term trainer Cervara.
Now training with Thomas Johansson and his other coach, he has steadily improved in the last few weeks - culminating in a tightly fought three-set victory over challenger Moutet.
This marks his first championship following the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hard court after March of the previous year.
The win also means Medvedev has won 21 titles at 21 distinct tournaments.
"This marks the first occasion I have attended a tournament with my both daughters at once, so to win a title is really nice," said ranked player the champion.
"This championship is in honour of my younger daughter her name, because the maiden victory I achieved when my child her name was delivered was for her."
Medvedev, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his last six championship matches, including in the German tournament in the past months.
The player's retrieving play style and recurring reactions on the tennis court had led observers to question if his capacity to play at the elite level was finished.
However the athlete has altered his approach in the past month, making an effort to approach the net and play aggressively, reinforced by an better service.
He fought back from a disadvantage in the first set against the challenging Moutet, taking four of the concluding five games to go ahead.
Both players exchanged service breaks in the middle set before Moutet, attempting for his initial tour victory, took control to force a third set.
The opponent rescued 4 initial chances in a close final set before the champion secured a break to 15 to secure the win.
Fittingly, he earned the title with a shot at the net area, with the Frenchman unable to control a volley after a lengthy match.
